Ki Aikido is a Japanese martial art based on the co-ordination of mind and body, and "Ki" power, the natural inner power we all possess and which, through training, we can develop to new heights.
Students learn how to develop inner calmness through relaxation and how to maintain a positive attitude. This is called Ki training. Aspects of Ki training include meditation and breathing exercises.
Ki Aikido is the application of Ki principles for self defence. It is practiced in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and is non-competitive.
Because Ki Aikido relies on inner power and Ki principles, and not on physical strength, it is suitable for men and women of all ages and for children.
